Verse of the Day: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3 NIV

The psalmist does not hide his vulnerability—he admits that fear is part of the human experience. Yet he shows us the right response: to place our trust in God. Faith does not deny fear; it overcomes it by focusing on the One who is greater than anything we face. Trusting in the Lord turns fear into peace and uncertainty into strength (Isaiah 26:3).

Trusting God is a spiritual decision born from knowing His character. When we remember His faithfulness, His constant love, and His power, our hearts find rest. God’s presence may not always remove the danger, but it does dissolve fear, for we know He is with us, watching over every step (Psalm 23:4).

Fear has power only when it occupies the center of our thoughts. But when we surrender it to God, it loses its hold. Every time we choose to trust His Word above our emotions, faith grows. In Christ, we have a secure refuge, a peace that is independent of circumstance, and a firm promise: “Do not fear, for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because at every moment I can find refuge in You. Remind me always that Your presence surrounds me and Your faithful love sustains me. Strengthen my faith, renew my heart, and teach me to trust fully in You. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
