Verse of the Day: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
These words were spoken by God to the people of Israel during their exile—a time of confusion and apparent abandonment. Yet even in their hardship, the Lord reminded them that His purpose remained unchanged. They saw ruin, but God was preparing restoration. He never loses control, even when we cannot understand His plan (Isaiah 55:8–9).
God’s thoughts are higher than ours. While humanity focuses on the present and its limitations, the Lord sees eternity and the ultimate good of His people. His plans are for peace, not for harm; for hope, not despair. Though the journey may seem long, God’s purpose always leads to the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Believing this promise requires faith. It means trusting the Father’s heart even when the path is uncertain. Every process, every waiting moment, and every tear has meaning under His watchful care. God never improvises—every detail of our story is written with divine wisdom and love. In Christ, these thoughts of peace are fully realized, for He is the guarantee of our eternal future (Ephesians 2:10).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because Your thoughts toward me are full of peace and hope. Even when I do not understand Your plans, I trust in Your faithfulness. Teach me to wait on You with faith and to rest in Your perfect purpose. May my life reflect the certainty that You always fulfill Your promises. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
