Verse of the Day: “Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:6 KJV

Here, the apostle Paul describes one of the purest marks of godly love: its inseparable bond with truth. The love that comes from the Holy Spirit does not delight in wrongdoing, deception, or another’s pain. It does not justify what is unjust but rejoices when truth prevails. Divine love does not cover sin to ignore it—it longs to see hearts restored (Ephesians 4:15).

In a world that distorts values and celebrates superficial things, this calling is countercultural. To love truly means to rejoice in what honors God, not what pleases human emotion. Mature love does not applaud injustice or take pleasure in another’s fall, but seeks reconciliation, forgiveness, and the truth that sets free (John 8:32).

The joy of truth is born in a heart transformed by Christ. When His love dwells within us, we learn to discern righteously and speak with compassion. Truth without love can wound, but love without truth becomes hollow. Only when both walk together is the character of Christ fully revealed. In Him, we find perfect joy—to love what God loves and to reject what grieves His Spirit (Romans 12:9).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because Your love teaches me to love the truth. Deliver me from all indifference to injustice and make my heart rejoice only in what pleases You. Teach me to love with purity, speaking always with truth and compassion. May my life reflect the love of Christ in everything. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
