Verse of the Day: “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” 1 John 4:16 NIV
This verse reveals a deep spiritual journey: to know and to believe. It is not merely information, but a conviction that transforms life. To know that God loves us is a revelation from Him; to believe it is to rest in that truth even when circumstances try to say otherwise. God’s love is not a passing feeling—it is His very nature (Romans 8:38–39).
“God is love” means that everything He does flows from His holy, faithful, and eternal love. In Christ, that love became visible, near, and accessible. Jesus is the living proof of God’s love for us: He gave His life and opened the way for us to live in communion with the Father. To remain in love is to remain in Christ—to live united to Him and depend on His grace each day (John 15:9–10).
When we remain in God’s love, our lives are transformed. Fear loses its grip, guilt is replaced by grace, and the heart learns to love as it has been loved. God abides in those who remain in His love, and His presence is revealed through obedience, peace, confidence, and love toward others. To live in God’s love is to live secure in Him (1 John 4:18).
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because You love me and Your love is true and eternal. Help me believe in that love every day and remain in it. May my life reflect Your love in my words, thoughts, and actions. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
