God Works in Us to Fulfill His Will
God not only calls us to live according to His will, but He also empowers us to do so. This verse reveals that it is God who stirs both the desire and the action within us to live in obedience and faithfulness.
“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” (Philippians 2:13, NIV)
God not only calls us to live according to His will, but He also empowers us to do so. This verse reveals that it is God who stirs both the desire and the action within us to live in obedience and faithfulness.
When we look at the life of Jesus, we see the Son perfectly aligned with the Father’s will. In every step, decision, and word, Jesus demonstrated full surrender. He did not come to do His own will, but the will of the One who sent Him (John 6:38). Likewise, the Holy Spirit works in us, shaping our will and strengthening our actions so that we reflect Christ.
We are not alone in the journey of faith. Our effort is upheld by the grace of God, who transforms us from within to fulfill His good purpose. Do you recognize that God is working within you? Are you willing to surrender your will so that His may be done in you?

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for working in me both to will and to act. Help me live in obedience and love, trusting that Your purpose is always good. In the name of Jesus I give You thanks. Amen.
