To Know Christ in All Things

In this passage, the apostle Paul expresses the deepest longing of a surrendered heart: to truly know Christ. Not just with intellectual knowledge, but through a living relationship that transforms every part of life.

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.”(Philippians 3:10–11, NIV).

In this passage, the apostle Paul expresses the deepest longing of a surrendered heart: to truly know Christ. Not just with intellectual knowledge, but through a living relationship that transforms every part of life.

To know Christ means to experience the power of His resurrection—which brings new life—but also to share in His sufferings, identifying with His obedience, humility, and surrender, even when it costs us something. Paul understood that true spiritual gain comes through losing everything for the sake of Jesus.

In the life of Jesus, we see this path clearly. He lived for the Father, humbled Himself to the point of death, and was exalted in the resurrection. The path of a disciple follows the same way: losing to gain, dying to live, surrendering to be renewed.

Is your greatest desire to know Christ? Are you willing to lose whatever is necessary to live in the power of His resurrection?

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, may my heart long to know You above all things. Teach me to live united with Christ—in His power and in His surrender. In the name of Jesus I give You thanks. Amen.

“With hope and joy in Him along the way with Him”
