Verse of the Day: “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
These words were spoken by Moses to Joshua and the people of Israel during a time of transition, as they prepared to enter the promised land. It was a season of uncertainty and challenges, but God reminded them that His presence would go before them.
Today, this promise is fulfilled in Christ Jesus. He assured us: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). In Christ, we never walk alone; His Holy Spirit is our guide and strength. Even when difficulties arise, the certainty of His presence removes fear and gives us confidence to move forward.
The Lord never abandons His children. Even when we feel weak or discouraged, we can remember that Jesus is our Good Shepherd (John 10:11), who walks with us and leads us into life and hope.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because Your presence goes with me every step of the way. Teach me to trust fully in Your faithfulness and not to be ruled by fear. Thank You because in Christ Jesus I have the assurance that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Abba Father, I bring this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
