Verse of the Day: “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2:5 NIV
The apostle Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not only about believing in Christ but also about imitating Him in thought and action. Jesus’ attitude was one of humility, service, and complete surrender to the Father’s will (Philippians 2:6–8). Though He was God, He emptied Himself, taking the nature of a servant and becoming obedient to death on a cross.
This calling is profoundly countercultural. While the world seeks recognition, status, and power, God’s children are invited to follow Christ’s example: to live with a heart willing to serve and love sacrificially. True discipleship is revealed when we reflect Christ’s attitude in our relationships, responding with patience, forgiveness, and compassion.
Living in Christ means allowing His Spirit to transform our way of thinking and acting. It is not about human effort but about letting Christ live in us (Galatians 2:20). When we embrace His attitude, our lives become a living testimony of His love and grace.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for the perfect example of Your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to have His same attitude of humility, obedience, and service. May my life reflect His character in everything I do. I present this prayer in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
