Verse of the Day: “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.” 1 Timothy 2:5–6 NIV

The apostle Paul clearly states that there is only one God and one mediator between Him and humanity: Jesus Christ. No human work, tradition, or person can take that place. Christ, being both true man and true God, offered His life as the perfect ransom for all, opening the way of reconciliation with the Father (Hebrews 9:15).

The mediation of Jesus is not limited to a past act but remains effective today. He lives to intercede for us, securing that our salvation is fully guaranteed in His sacrifice (Hebrews 7:25). His offering was voluntary and universal: “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28).

This testimony, revealed “at the proper time,” reminds us of God’s faithfulness in His plan. Nothing happened by chance; in Christ, God fulfilled His eternal purpose of saving humanity. Living under this truth calls us to gratitude, obedience, and proclaiming that Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because in Your love You sent Jesus Christ as the only mediator and the only sufficient sacrifice for my sins. Help me live with the assurance that in Him I have salvation and eternal life. May my life testify to this truth and be a channel to proclaim Christ as the only Savior. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
