The name of the Lord represents His character, His power, and His faithfulness. In ancient times, a strong tower was a place of defense and safety, a high refuge beyond the enemy’s reach. That is what our God is—a secure fortress for those who trust in Him (Psalm 46:1).
To run to the name of the Lord means to seek His presence with faith and dependence. It is not a ritual act but a response of trust: the righteous do not rely on their own strength, wisdom, or resources but on the Lord who saves. When we take refuge in Him, we find protection, peace, and direction even in the midst of the storm (Psalm 91:2).
The name of Jesus is that strong tower for every believer. In His name there is salvation, authority, and power over all the works of the enemy (Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9–10). When we call upon His name in faith, we remember that no danger or circumstance is greater than His love and sovereignty. In Christ, our souls are truly safe.
Today’s prayer
Prayer: Abba Father, thank You because Your name is my strong tower. In You I find refuge, strength, and salvation. Teach me to run to You at all times and to rest in the security of Your power. May I never forget that in the name of Jesus I have victory and eternal protection. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
