Verse of the Day: “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1 NIV

David expresses a worship that is not shallow or partial but complete: with all his heart. This is not singing out of habit but worshiping from the depths of the soul. To praise with all our heart is to recognize God’s greatness with sincerity, gratitude, and surrender—remembering His works and proclaiming His faithfulness (Psalm 103:1–2).

To tell of the Lord’s wonderful deeds is part of worship. God has performed wonders not only in history—creation, the deliverance of His people, the coming of Christ—but also in our personal lives: doors He has opened, prayers He has answered, burdens He has lifted, sins He has forgiven, and days when His grace sustained us. Remembering His works stirs faith, strengthens hope, and fuels gratitude (Psalm 77:11–12).

When we worship with all our heart, our perspective shifts. Praise lifts us above worry and refocuses us on God’s faithfulness. Worship is not ignoring reality but viewing it through the truth of who He is: powerful, good, faithful, and worthy to be exalted. Genuine worship opens the way to deeper communion with the Lord (Hebrews 13:15).

Today’s prayer

Prayer: Abba Father, I want to praise You with all my heart. Thank You for Your wonderful deeds, for Your faithful work in my life, and for Your eternal goodness. Fill my mouth with gratitude and my heart with worship. May my life be a living testimony of Your love and power. I pray in the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus. Amen.
